Photoshop Fix is a mobile photo editing app with a focus on retouching and enhancing images. The app features incredibly fast and effective spot-healing as well as a full range of light, color, and detail adjustments including the (in)famous Face Aware warp mesh tooling.
More »Vibe is an iOS app designed to help users create tightly-produced short movies from the images and videos on their mobile devices. Vibe is built around intelligent algorithms which automate the intricately-complex and time-consuming task of synchronizing edits to the rhythm and intensity of a soundtrack. The UX is aimed at making quick work of creating and sharing the piece, focussing on providing simple controls for the essential attributes.

This comprised end-to-end customer experience strategy defining a technology ecosystem and experience design across applications and services. The work is ongoing and has heavily influenced a redesign of Lightroom and Photoshop on mobile platforms as well as an extended ecosystem of photography tools.

Ostensibly a marketing task, the goal simply was to drastically improve Adobe's relationship with its customers. However, this meant culling or revamping every product marketing page, every support page, every learning page, every purchase point and more across the site as well as every internal process from policy and strategy to execution.

More »The Adobe / Macromedia merger created a massive product brand and identity strategy challenge: two distinctly different companies became one, with the combined product offering somewhere in the neighborhood of over a hundred unique identities, which all must evolve into a cohesive and functional interoperable system (which in turn must also represent Adobe as a proud parent brand.) As a result, Adobe has the single biggest visually integrated brand system in history.

Visual improvements to the ever-growing system were many - sharper, crisper, brighter - but this release also marked the official yet quietly in-progress introduction of what would become Adobe's new corporate typeface, Clean.

The primary challenges were to develop a system which would successfully merge the Macromedia and Adobe product lines in a way which would tie the product icons together to work side-by-side harmoniously.

After several years of quietly working under-the-radar, the central design organization is reaching out to the rest of the company. Aeon's clean, crisp minimalist design features CSS-controlled parameters for color and transparency to allow dynamic visual hierarchy as well as a very clever highlight layer for gloss or matte surface treatments. Application speed and rendering performance improvements were realized through drastically simplified drawing code (by half, relative to Halo).

Technical illustration, product design, structural and surface engineering, language-independent instructional design (for an international audience), and ecommerce development support the exercise. Ultimately the subjects are rendered Origami-inspired paper model kits.
